Day One of My Future

Finally!  The day is here to make my website live and I couldn’t sigh a bigger sigh of relief than I am doing right now.  Phew.

Starting a new business is very exciting, but there is so much more than what you see on the surface.  You see the pretty colors and fun pictures. You see my Instagram feed and content I’ve been creating.  What you don’t see is the hours involved in staring at a blank screen, wondering if my logo is “good enough”, trying to figure out how to communicate a message, overthinking my tone, and asking myself over and over if I’m truly ready to launch.

But here’s what I’ve learned…we’re never really ready.  And that’s okay.  Something that I have learned this past year is that, “Imperfect Action is Better than Perfect Inaction.”  I don’t know if that resonates with you like it does with me, but go ahead and read that again.  Then ask yourself, “Is anyone ever really ready?”  Were you really ready when you started driving for the first time or was it by daily practice that you learned the rules of the road and became a good driver?  Were you ready to take care of a home and care for others when you became a wife/mother or did it grow on your over time through trial and error?  Sometimes life hands us opportunity.  It’s what we do with that opportunity that makes or breaks us.

Today is the last day of 2021 and I hope that whatever you find yourself doing in 2022, it includes chasing a new dream, trying something new, and performing some imperfect action.  The world needs you.
